Spring has officially sprung here in Charleston, with the weather getting warmer and warmer by the day. It’s the perfect time of year to start shedding the jeans and swapping for lighter layers, flowy silhouettes, and breathable fabrics. For me, that means a ton of midi skirts this season.
In shopping for my upcoming trip to Paris, I’ve been trying to find summer clothes that aren’t just cut off shorts and sundresses (I live by the water, what do you expect?!) and midi skirts have been my go to. I’ve purchased about 3 or 4 and am already eyeing a few more. You can find them all below!
First up is this amazing skirt from Vici Dolls. It’s a gorgeous material and the perfect piece for me to match with the tens of black tops and tanks I have in my closet. For this look, I went more casual with a tied up tee, some J Crew slides, and my Topshop purse to round it out. If I was looking to dress it up a little more, I might opt for some lower, strappy heels, a breezy button-up tied at the front, and some delicate gold jewelry. Though this exact skirt is sold out, I found it’s twin that is made by Leith and you can grab it here for just $55.
Next is this gorgeous and oh-so-chic white belted number from Lulu’s that was a steal at only $54. I loved the way the skirt was styled as an all-white look on the site and was instantly sold. I can’t wait to pair it with some nude slip-on sandals, throw my hair into a low bun and leisurely stroll through the streets of Paris this summer. Find it here.
In an attempt to maybe branch out from the basics, I also purchased this cute floral (though still black) skirt from Love, Fire for just $45. (Find it here.) I love the tie at the belt and the pinks, oranges, and yellows included in the small floral design. I already have the perfect dark mauve tank and either some camel or black slides to finish the outfit off. I’ve worn it twice already and can’t wait to wear it again soon!
And since my wardrobe has always consisted of basics in black, black and black, you know I couldn’t resist this spring-appropriate skirt in my favorite color. I can’t wait to wear it with either a white crop tee or a tied up t-shirt and my trusty dad sneakers. Add in my new Jansport belt bag and I’m already thinking it’s going to be my favorite outfit of the summer. You can find it here for $40 from Topshop.
How are you styling midi skirts this season? Let me know in the comments below and be sure to send any other beauties my way!
